MAN receives further electric bus order up to 100 units for Hamburg

Germany – MAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, has announced a further order for up to 100 electric buses from Verkehrsbetriebe Hamburg-Holstein to serve in the German city state of Hamburg.
48 ‘Lion’s City 12 E’ buses are set to be delivered to Hamburg in late 2023/early 2024, with more to potentially follow as per the terms of the framework agreement signed by the two companies. The vehicles which VHH has ordered will reportedly use a climate-neutral carbon dioxide air-conditioning system (R744), eschewing the conventional refrigerant R134a.
