Germany – Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany, has opened a dedicated 580 square metre electric bus training centre in Mannheim for its customers’ employees, offering a range of courses including, bus driver training and vehicle maintenance.

The facility focuses on both theory and practice, with a lecture room offering multiple lectures a year. Built next to the bus assembly plant in Mannheim, the facility includes three training rooms, two parking spaces for training vehicles and a fully equipped high-voltage workshop to train staff in electric bus maintenance. With the increasing number of electric buses, the demand for service engineers to repair and maintain these vehicles in service outlets is continuously growing.
