Loop Energy seeking industrial partners to design and manufacture hydrogen fuel cell electrolyser

Ben Nyland, Loop Energy President & CEO

Canada / USA / Germany – In partnership with the applied research organisation, Fraunhofer USA Inc*, based in Plymouth, Michigan, as well as the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE**, headquartered in Freiburg, Germany, Loop Energy Inc, a manufacturer of hydrogen fuel cell systems based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, announced the completion of the validation stage of its eFlow technology in PEM electrolysers, responsible for enhancing hydrogen production. The fuel cell uses a trapezoid flow field design enhancing temperature consistency responsible for increasing hydrogen production, durability and therefore efficiency.

This technological breakthrough is significant as the global demand for hydrogen to meet the growing number of hydrogen-powered vehicles, which is projected to increase by more than USD 1 trillion by 2050, according to Loop Energy.
