DAF Trucks enters UK’s capital cities electric vehicle challenge

UK / Ireland / Netherlands – DAF Trucks Ltd of Thame, the UK subsidiary of Dutch truck manufacturer DAF Trucks NV of Eindhoven, Netherlands, has entered the Capital Cities Challenge EV Rally taking place from the 3rd to the 7th of July 2023 in the UK and Ireland, designed to demonstrate the recent evolutions in battery electric vehicle technology.

DAF Trucks will showcase its 19-tonne LF Electric truck across a five-day 1000-mile driving event starting in Cardiff and ending in Dublin, Republic of Ireland. The rally is designed to test both the vehicles as well as the necessary EV charging infrastructure that will be utilised.
