David Kiss, Managing Director of DAF Trucks UK told members of the UK media at an event held in Oxford late last year that a large amount of DAF UK’s success is a direct result of its aftermarket network. The territory boasts 13 dealer groups with 146 dealer locations, which include 102 service locations and 34 sales locations.

DAF Trucks celebrated 50 years of DAFaid, its roadside assistance service. Over the years, it has evolved into a comprehensive service, handling around 100,000 roadside jobs annually, including support for non-DAF vehicles like trailers, buses, and agricultural equipment. The service is available 24/7.

Jones will lead the development of DAF’s electric vehicle (EV) programme in the UK, overseeing sales, aftersales, the dealer network’s EV strategy and the rollout of charging infrastructure.

The XB and XB Electric are set to replace the LF and LF Electric, with the XB Electric expected to go into series production in week 45, 2023, in Eindhoven.

The parent of DAF, Kenworth, and Peterbilt announced record sales revenue of USD35.13bn in 2023, a 22% improvement on its performance in the year before (USD28.82bn).

DAF Truck dealer representative, The HTC Group has acquired Barnes DAF, which includes its Guildford and Shoreham servicing stations. All staff at these facilities have been retained. For DAF, this means that the number of UK & Ireland dealerships remains the same (146) but with one less dealer group (now 14).
