151 Volta Zero trucks to be subsidised by the German government

Sweden / GermanyVolta Trucks AB of Stockholm, Sweden has announced that any customer orders for the ‘Volta Zero’ battery-electric truck placed before the end of June 2023 in Germany will be subsidised through a grant provided by the German federal government. 

The Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr (“Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport”, or BMDV) has committed a total of EUR24.6m in subsidies to Volta Trucks’ German customers. The money will cover a total of 151 trucks, working out at over EUR160,000 per vehicle. Volta Trucks recently opened a Truck-as-a-Service hub in Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia. Trucks benefiting from the subsidy will be delivered beginning this year, according to Volta Trucks.
