ZF begins series production of CeTrax lite for LCVs

The CeTrax lite by ZF
Germany – ZF Friedrichshafen AG of Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg has announced the start of series production of a lighter weight variation of the ‘CeTrax’ electric drive system, specifically designed for light commercial vehicles.
The ‘CeTrax lite’ is based on the CeTrax line of electric central drive systems for heavier commercial vehicles. However, it is more compact and lighter, weighing approximately 120 kg while incorporating the motor, single-speed transmission, and power electronics in a single box. Its peak power rating is 150 kW and its torque 1,500 Nm.
