Germany – German logistics company, *DB Schenker has ordered 100 of the new battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros Long Haul trucks from Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg, which are to be built at the Mercedes-Benz Truck plant in Wörth, Germany for delivery by Q4, 2024.

Three battery packs on the two-axle trucks provide an installed total capacity of over 600 kWh and two electric motors, as part of a new e-axle, generate a continuous output of 400 kW and a peak output of over 600 kW. With this drivetrain combination, this tractor unit has a range of 500km on a single charge and, according to Mercedes-Benz, the truck has been designed to travel 1.2 million kilometres over ten years.
