CaetanoBus to supply biggest ever hydrogen bus order to France

France / Portugal – Bus and coach manufacturer, CaetanoBus SA of Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, has won a tender to supply 60 hydrogen-powered H2City Gold buses to the Strasbourg public transport operator CTS (Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois), which will operate in the city of Strasbourg in France, making it the biggest hydrogen bus order in French history.

Delivery will be scattered over a 5-year period with the first bus being delivered in 2024. CaetanoBus had already earmarked the French hydrogen bus market for rapid growth as some H2City Gold buses have been successfully in operation within La Roche-Sur, France, since 2022.
