In Chile truck sales decrease by 21% while bus sales go the other way, up 155% in the first quarter this year

Chile – The commercial vehicle market (trucks and buses) in Chile during the first quarter of 2023 totalled 4,056 registrations, a decrease of 7.2% compared with 4,371 units in the same period of 2022, according to data compiled by the National Automotive Association of Chile (ANAC) of Santiago.

3,140 of the total CVs were trucks, a decrease of 21.0% compared with 3,973 units sold in the first quarter last year; while buses totalled 1,016 units, against 398 vehicles, an increase of 155.3%.
