GermanyQuantron AG, a retrofit firm based in Gersthofen, Bavaria, has announced a series of partnerships for the supply and distribution of hydrogen fuel in Europe to serve its fuel cell-powered commercial electric vehicles.

Three hydrogen producers have signed strategic partnership deals with Quantron. Uniwastec AG, a firm based in Risch-Rotkreuz, Zug, Switzerland, produces green hydrogen using sea or waste water and electricity generated from municipal and industrial waste. Green Hydrogen Technology GmbH, also based in Gersthofen, produces hydrogen from sewage sludge, plastic, and wood using a patented process. Finally, Plagazi AG of Gothenburg, Sweden has its own patented method of converting waste, allowing it to produce energy from auto-shredder-residue, contaminated plastics, wind turbine blades, industrial waste, and hazardous waste. These companies join Quantron’s ‘Clean Transportation Alliance’ and will supply unspecified quantities of renewable hydrogen.
