Sales of commercial vehicles fall in Peru in Q1/2023

Peru - The commercial vehicle segment in Peru reached sales of 3,968 units in the first quarter of this year, down 15.5% compared with the same period last year, when 4,696 vehicles were licensed, according to the AAP (Automotive Association of Peru) of Lima.

The figures, which include trucks 2.8 tons and above, recorded sales of 3,469, down 13% compared with 3,988 in the same period of 2022, and 499 buses (all buses 2.8t gvw and above), 29.5% fewer than the 708 units in the first quarter of last year - see third table below. Heavy duty truck registrations fell by almost 20% to 592 (736) - see table below.
