Hino dissolves collaboration agreement with Volkswagen

Japan - Hino Motors Ltd (a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation) in April issued a notice for the dissolution of its ‘Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement’ with Traton SE, the company formerly known as Volkswagen Truck & Bus AG.
Hino-shi, Tokyo-headquartered Hino Motors said the decision to discontinue its collaboration with Volkswagen Group is based on a resolution made at the meeting of its board of directors on 26 April 2023, and that this decision was in order to “give priority to addressing the management issues that each company is currently facing.”
