New jointly developed Isuzu GIGA and UD Quon heavy-duty tractor models

Japan - Isuzu Motors Ltd of Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, and its subsidiary, UD Trucks Ltd announced they have completed joint development of a new range of new Isuzu GIGA and UD Quon heavy-duty tractor models, marking a major milestone in the realisation of cost-saving synergies between the two brands.

The new heavy-duty truck range is the first new product line to be developed jointly since Isuzu completed its USD2.2bn acquisition of UD Trucks from Volvo Trucks in April 2021. The two brands will begin sales of the new trucks through their respective dealer networks in Japan in the first week of April. Together, they operate more than 400 sales and service outlets in the country.
