TICO presents electric terminal tractor with Volvo Penta driveline at ACT Expo

USA – At the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Anaheim, California, held between 1-4 May 2023, Terminal Investment Corporation (“TICO”) of Ridgeland, South Carolina presented a battery electric terminal tractor with a driveline by AB Volvo Penta Industrial, set to enter production imminently.
Based on the company’s ‘Pro Spotter’ line of tractor units, the ‘Pro-Spotter Electric’ is powered by an electric drive system which TICO developed in collaboration with Volvo Penta starting in 2021. Volvo Penta’s e-powertrain is modular, allowing the customer the option of single or dual motors and up to six 90-kWh battery packs, providing a total capacity of 564 kWh.
