France – In May, Renault Trucks SAS of Saint-Priest, France launched an online educational platform which is free to use and is intended to teach people about battery electric trucks in an accessible way.

Called ‘Decarbonisation Academy’, Renault Trucks’ educational platform is available in French and English and currently comprises four modules which can be completed in under thirty minutes. They cover the following topics: (1) an overview of the subject and comparisons between electric and diesel propulsion; (2) the positive impacts of electric trucks on “working conditions and quality of life”; (3) a module on lithium-ion batteries – how they are made, how much range they provide, how long they last, and how they are recycled; (4) a module providing case studies of fleets that have put electric trucks into their daily operations.
