MAN to supply Duvenbeck Logistics with 120 heavy electric trucks

Germany – In May, MAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, received a Letter of Intent from Duvenbeck Logistics GmbH of Bocholt, North Rhine-Westphalia, committing to the purchase of 120 units of MAN’s upcoming heavy-duty range of battery electric trucks.

The 40-tonne electric trucks are set to enter production from next year. In its release, MAN stated that the range would be powered by a 330-kW central motor with integrated transmission containing four gears. The truck can be charged with a CCS 2 charger delivering up to 375 kW, but in the future MAN hopes to benefit from the rollout of megawatt chargers. Additionally, MAN stated that the electric tractor unit will have a low fifth-wheel height, allowing for trailers with an interior height of up to three metres (given the EU’s 4-metre height restriction on semitrailers).
