Bangalore – Fresh Bus Pvt Ltd of Bangalore, an intercity EV passenger service provider, has unveiled its first fleet of 12-metre electric coaches for intercity operation, which are to operate on the route between Bengaluru and Tirupati. All 24 units have been supplied by Olectra Greentech Ltd of Hyderabad.

The 12m electric bus is rated at 18t gvw, it is equipped with in-wheel motors rated at 180KW and powered using FE-type Lithium-ion phosphate batteries with short circuit protection, over temperature control function and lightning protection. The low entry chassis is 12 metres long and has a wheelbase of 6,100mm. It can travel up to 400 km at a maximum speed of 90 km/hour and can be fully charged in just two hours. It is offered with low noise air conditioning, comfortable seating with a 45° recline, personal equipment charging docks, Wi-Fi, and real-time tracking, including IOT-enabled air-quality and temperature monitoring. Offered with a uniformed and friendly crew, the fleet is also equipped with enhanced safety features, such as regenerative braking, battery temperature sensors, CCTV surveillance, medical kits, onboard fire extinguishers, and pink seats designated for female travellers.
