Karsan e-Atak best-selling electric midibus in Europe 2 years in a row

Turkey – Turkish bus manufacturer, Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Tic AŞ (“Karsan”) of Bursa, announced that according to market analysis by Wim Chatrou of Chatrou CME Solutions of The Netherlands, the Karsan e-ATAK had a market share of 40% in the electric midibus segment in 2022, thus becoming the segment leader in Europe two years running. The CME Solutions report, confirmed 113 e-Atak registrations in Europe in 2022, growing its European electric midibus market share from 30% in 2021 to 40% in 2022.
The 8.3-metre 22-seat (52-person) low-floor city bus features a BMW battery with a capacity of 220 kWh and is powered by a 230-kW electric engine, all contributing to a range of 300 km. The e-ATAK can be charged in 5 hours with alternating current charging units and in 3 hours with fast charging units.
