Continental launches tyre regrooving videos to improve safety

Germany / UK – Continental AG of Hanover, has launched a five-part video series on tyre regrooving* safety and advice aimed at supporting technicians, drivers and business owners in tyre safety and maintenance. According to Tomasz Wojciechowski, Technical Specialist Engineer at Continental, a common mistake is cutting tyres too deeply and creating custom tread patterns which can greatly influence the tyre’s performance. The videos demonstrate the correct regrooving process as well as answering commonly asked questions.
Regrooving a tyre correctly, according to Continental, can improve the longevity of a tyre’s performance, extending its life and therefore bringing down the cost of replacing old tyres for operators.
