e-mobility ecosystem

Germany – Daimler Buses GmbH (owned by Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany) has established an electric charging infrastructure subsidiary, Daimler Buses Solutions GmbH. The company will provide European customers with its electric bus charging solutions. Dietrich Müller, previously Head of E-Systems at Daimler Buses has been appointed Managing Director of Daimler Buses Solutions. Daimler already provides charging solutions, digital fleet tools and other ecosystem components for electric bus customers.

The company states Daimler Buses Solutions can now fully electrify a bus depot, this includes the necessary construction, electrical installations, chargers, battery storage facilities and charging management systems. The next step is to expand into infrastructure services required to operate buses with hydrogen-based fuel cell drives or range extenders.
