Nova Bus to shut down production in the USA by 2025

Canada / USA – Nova Bus Inc, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Saint-Eustache, Quebec, Canada, has announced that it will gradually cease production of its buses the USA and close its manufacturing and delivery facility in Plattsburgh, New York by 2025.

The decision was reportedly motivated by the weak profitability of the Plattsburgh operations over several years. Concentrating its manufacturing activities in Canada alone will improve the company’s profitability and secure its long-term competitiveness, according to Ralph Acs, President of Nova Bus.
