Japan - Isuzu Motors Ltd, headquartered in Yokohama in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture, has signed a partnership agreement with Tokyo-based Honda Motor Company for the latter to develop and supply hydrogen fuel cell systems for a range of heavy-duty trucks it plans to launch from 2027.
Isuzu and Honda joined forces in 2020 to develop heavy-duty trucks powered by hydrogen fuel cells and have now successfully developed a prototype based on Isuzu’s Giga truck that has been granted a Japanese license plate number for use on public roads.
