USA / Brazil – Ohio-based power management firm, Eaton Corporation, announced that its IntelliConnect remote diagnostic technology is now able to collect and analyse Cummins’ engine fault codes in addition to those of Eaton Cummins automated transmissions, minimising vehicle downtime for Cummins powertrain customers in North America, Central America and South America.

The real-time data generated helps technical experts to make recommendations for reducing unplanned downtime and enabling a quicker diagnosis of needed repairs. IntelliConnect allows the operator to determine whether a vehicle should be serviced immediately or if there is time to schedule maintenance for a future date.
