FranceRenault Trucks SAS, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Saint-Priest, France, has announced that, from next year, its heavy-duty trucks will come with new cab fittings and advanced driver assistance options compliant with upcoming regulations.

The T, T High, C, and K model ranges, as well as the upcoming battery electric ‘E-Tech’ T and C trucks, will be fitted with monitoring systems for the front and side blindspots. A combination of radars and cameras will be fitted around the truck, with the option of adding five more cameras to monitor the trailer or the fifth wheel during coupling. A speeding alert system will detect speed restrictions on road signs and warn the driver if he exceeds the limit, and monitoring systems will constantly track tyre pressure.
