ZF to supply Volta Trucks with brake, suspension, and steering components

Sweden / Germany – Volta Trucks AB of Stockholm, Sweden has announced that it is sourcing brake, suspension, and steering systems for its medium-duty battery electric trucks from components supplier ZF Friedrichshafen AG of Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

The low cabin of the ‘Volta Zero’ will be supported by an independent front suspension from ZF which can support a vehicle width of up to 2,600mm and an axle load of 8,200 kg. The ‘OptiRide Electronically Controlled Air Suspension’ allows for easy docking and loading with manual and automatic controls for chassis height adjustments.
