Netherlands / Germany – Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg is set to deliver 95 of its battery-electric solo and articulated Mercedes-Benz eCitaro and eCitaro G city buses to the city of The Hague, together with the relevant electric charging infrastructure required for operation by 2024. With deliveries scheduled between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, the Dutch public transport operator, HTM, has ordered a mixture of both 12 and 18-metre versions of the bus.

Having purchased the full “e-package solution,” Daimler will install and manage electric charging points (pantographs) at HTM’s depot in the Hague. The operator is replacing its legacy fleet in the city in preparation for Dutch legislation mandating that only zero-emission public transport vehicles can operate by the end of 2025.
