Italy – Iveco Bus (a brand of the Iveco Group NV) based in Turin, has won a EUR 150 million tender to supply 225 electric buses to Italian public transport operator, GTT Torino, together with its partner, Enel X providing all the charging equipment. The buses are set to operate in Turin. It has been a good year for the Italian bus builder as earlier this year, it was awarded a tender to supply 120 E-WAY fully electric city buses to the Italian Milan-based public transport company, Autoguidovie Group.

The order comprises 135 E-Way buses in the 12-metre version and 90 articulated buses measuring 18 metres. 28 of these are to be Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) models. The buses are to be produced at Iveco Bus’s recently opened new state-of-the-art Italian bus building plant in Foggia, Southern Italy.
