Konvekta launches refrigerant charge balancing technology for e-buses

Germany – The Schwalmstadt-based mobile temperature control specialist, Konvekta AG has presented “refrigerant charge balancing“ as the latest module of the CO2 heat pump for electric buses. The company claims this technology has been adopted by some 60% of German electric buses as it improves both efficiency and range, as the refrigerant charge level is controlled precisely, ensuring that the optimal quantity of refrigerant is always used. This is due to the company's patented valve technology, the heat exchanger design and the control technology that specifically controls the refrigerant.
