France / USA – French zero-emission vehicle manufacturer, GAUSSIN SA, based in Héricourt, France, has announced the expansion of its Saint-Vallier factory in Saône-et-Loire, France due to increased demand in North America for electric tractor units, with sales targets of USD 200 million in 2025. The recent expansion involved deploying a third 2X8 assembly line to increase production rates, meaning that the annual total capacity of the facility now hits 2,400 vehicles per year.

This investment signifies an evolved strategy involving a multifaceted North American expansion strategy. This involves the American-owned subsidiary, Gaussin North America (Gaussin NA), based in New York City, which was set up in 2021 to lead the expansion into the North American market.
