Loop Energy enters into the special-purpose vehicle market

Canada – Loop Energy Inc, a manufacturer of hydrogen fuel cell systems based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, has announced it is set to supply fuel cell systems to an unnamed hydrogen-electric fire truck OEM, marking a milestone for the company. Loop Energy will install two of its T505 fuel cell systems in the fire truck. The initial phase will involve deploying these vehicles at an airport, with the OEM planning to scale up production for use in other locations. The production of these hydrogen-electric fire trucks is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2023.
