Plus to collaborate with Transurban on autonomous truck trials in Australia

USA / Australia – Plus Inc of Santa Clara, California, USA has announced a partnership to test autonomous trucks and associated “smart” infrastructure with Transurban Ltd, a builder and operator of toll roads based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
The newly announced partnership builds on a trial which Plus conducted on the CityLink network of tollways, managed by Transurban, and the Monash Freeway in 2022. This marked the very first time a highly-automated truck was tested on a public road in Australia. The two companies are now working together to launch further trials of Plus’s Level 4 autonomous Iveco trucks, together with “smart road infrastructure”, in the Australian state of Victoria.
