Nikola celebrates commercial launch of fuel cell electric truck

Commercial launch of Nikola Tre FCEV in Coolidge, Arizona
USA – On 28 September, Nikola Corporation of Phoenix, Arizona celebrated the commercial launch of the ‘Nikola Tre FCEV’, the fuel cell electric Class 8 truck which was first announced back in 2018.
At its Coolidge facility, Nikola held a ceremony attended by customers, dealers, and government officials. The commercial launch coincided with the completion of Phase-2 construction of the manufacturing facility. The Coolidge site is now able to produce up to 2,400 units across three shifts, with a production line capable of making battery electric and fuel cell electric trucks. Later this year, Nikola will begin assembling fuel cell modules supplied by Bosch in the same facility.
