Thai CV market sales plunge by 37% in Q2

Thailand - The Thai market for commercial vehicles over 2 tons gvw is estimated to have plunged by 37% to 64,567 units in the second quarter (Q2) of 2023 from 102,640 units in the same period of last year, according to analysis of industry wholesale data from various industry sources including some estimates.

Second-quarter GDP growth came in at a much weaker than expected 1.8% year-on-year compared with downwardly-revised growth of 2.6% in the first quarter, due mainly to slowing exports and fixed investment growth.
