GermanySchmitz Cargobull AG, a trailer manufacturer based in Horstmar, North Rhine-Westphalia, released its results for the financial year 2022/23,1 showing that, while unit sales were down on the year before, its revenue improved by 13%, growing from EUR2.3bn to EUR2.6bn.

The company produced 57,122 units, lower than the 61,082-unit figure recorded last year. Its earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were positive, standing at EUR108.5m – whereas the company reported a loss of EUR15m the year before. However, the figures fell somewhat short of the company’s expectations: T&BB reported earlier this year the prediction of CFO Andreas Busacker that the company would produce 65,000 units and generate revenues of EUR2.8bn by the end of the 2022/23 period.
