New Flyer to supply up to 210 diesel buses to Houston Metro

USA – New Flyer of America Inc, a subsidiary of the NFI Group based in Crookston, Minnesota, has received a firm order for 160 diesel buses, together with options for up to 50 additional buses, from the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (“METRO”), which serves Houston, Texas and its environs.

160 ‘Xcelsior’ 40-foot buses will replace end-of-life vehicles in METRO’s fleet. These, together with the additional 50 options, have been added to NFI’s backlog of orders in the third quarter of 2023.
