UK Department for Transport grants GBP200m to four projects trialling electric & hydrogen trucks and infrastructure

UK – The UK government’s Department for Transport (DfT) announced in October the recipients of grants totalling GBP200m to support the deployment of 370 electric heavy goods vehicles and 57 sites for recharging or refuelling them. 

The Zero Emission Road Freight Demonstration (ZERFD) programme put out a call for applications as far back as August 2022, closing in October 2022. The DfT has now finally announced four projects which have each won a share of the GBP200m pot.
