Navistar launches production of integrated diesel powertrain at Huntsville plant

USA – Production of the ‘International S13 Integrated Powertrain’, unveiled by manufacturer Navistar Inc of Lisle, Illinois last year, has begun at Navistar’s facility in Huntsville, Alabama, according to an announcement published on 18 October.
Production commenced following the completion of work to expand the plant, adding 110,000 square feet to the existing structure. Now measuring 410,000 square feet, the Huntsville plant can now support two assembly lines and three machining lines, employing more than 230 skilled workers.
