Hexagon Purus set to open new vehicle integration plant in Dallas, Texas

Todd Sloan, EVP of Hexagon Purus

USA / Norway – The zero-emission division of the Hexagon Group, Hexagon Purus ASA, based in Oslo, Norway, announced plans to open a new 200,000-square-foot vehicle integration facility in Dallas, Texas, USA, in order to meet the rising demand from OEMs, including Hino and a recently signed unnamed North American OEM. Employing 250 skilled workers, the centrally located facility will support the efficient production and distribution of complete BEV heavy-duty trucks for the North American market. Hexagon Purus has signed a 10-year lease agreement for the building, which is already constructed, allowing for serial production of the trucks to commence in Q2 2024.

The battery systems themselves will be produced and shipped from Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. This new facility has the capacity to add additional manufacturing capacity for battery modules and packs if necessary.
