Thermo King ‘TracKing’ to provide comprehensive trailer data through collaboration with ZF

Belgium / Germany – Thermo King Europe, a specialist in transport refrigeration based in Zaventem, Flemish Brabant, Belgium, has announced a partnership with ZF Friedrichshafen AG of Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany which would allow access to comprehensive trailer data through Thermo King’s ‘TracKing’ fleet management platform.
According to the terms of the agreement, Thermo King’s TracKing will be able to import data from ZF’s own fleet management platform, ‘Scalar’. It means that users of TracKing will be able to access electronic braking system (ZF and other makes), odometer, axle-load, and tyre pressure data alongside information pulled from the transport refrigeration unit. The idea is that operators of temperature-controlled trailers will be able to access all the trailer data they need from a single application, allowing them to react to problems and optimise their fleets more efficiently.
