Lightning eMotors leveraging big data to optimise fleet performance

USA – Lightning eMotors Inc, an electric vehicle retrofitter and manufacturer based in Loveland, Colorado, has announced that its telematics software (Lightning Insights) has generated 10TB of data. The telematics system powers Lightning’s online fleet planner which was launched earlier this year.
Lightning Insights is powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), and allows operators to manage commercial fleets in real-time, tracking up to 156 separate data points. This data has been generated in eight years monitoring 600 + vehicles over eight million kilometres. All in all, the data provides further insight into and helps optimise, vehicle performance and driver behaviour.
