Komatsu to acquire US-based EV battery maker, ABS

USA / Japan - Komatsu Ltd of Minato, Tokyo, Japan, a leading global heavy-duty truck and machinery manufacturer, is in the process of acquiring US electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturer, American Battery Solutions (ABS) Inc* of Lake Orion, Michigan, as it looks to expand its presence in the global zero-emissions vehicle market. Komatsu said it aimed to complete the acquisition by early December.
