DAF starts EV staff training tour around the UK dealer network

DAF LF Electric

UK – Earlier this month DAF Trucks UK Ltd of Thame, UK, a subsidiary of Dutch truck manufacturer, DAF Trucks NV based in Eindhoven, Netherlands started its EV Relay training programme with two DAF 19-tonne LF electric vehicles on a tour of its UK dealer network, to train the staff in servicing of heavy-duty electric trucks. The educational tour will stop off at all 34 truck sales and aftermarket services centres in the UK and Ireland, to deliver in-person, hands-on training for all staff. This training programme is expected to upgrade the staff at the sales centres, so they can become official DAF Electric Truck Centres, which require specialists in charging, truck parts, servicing, repair and aftersales support.

The two vehicles are to start from opposite sides of the country, also highlighting the performance, range, TCO and environmental benefits of the DAF electric range. This comes after DAF recently completed its 5-day 2,000km journey (EV Rally) from Cardiff to Dublin and the Battery Electric Truck Trial (BETT) in 2022.
