Ram Trucks to release new-generation 1500 and hybrid pickup trucks next year

USA – In November, FCA US LLC (“Stellantis North America”) released details of its model year 2025 ‘Ram’ pickup trucks, including a more powerful Ram 1500 and a new hybrid option. 

The new hybrid model which Stellantis NA unveiled is called ‘Ram 1500 Ramcharger’. It is a series hybrid which pairs a 92-kWh battery pack with a 3.6-litre V6 ‘Pentastar’ engine to power a 130-kW generator. The onboard generator in turn delivers power to two electric drive modules, one on the front axle (250 kW) and one on the rear axle (238 kW). The vehicle is specified as a 663-horsepower truck with 615 lb-ft of torque and towing capability of up to 14,000 lbs. The truck can carry a payload of up to 2,625 lbs.
