ADL names Stagecoach its first Enviro100EV customer

UK Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) of Larbert, UK, announced that UK transport operator, Stagecoach will be the first customer to take delivery of its new Enviro100EV single-decker electric bus. This vehicle has been designed and engineered in-house and with series production already started in Lambert, Scotland, the first deliveries are set for Q1 2024. The initial order is for 20 of these electric buses, which will be deployed around Scotland.

The 8.5 metre Enviro 100EV electric bus, which has a passenger capacity of 45, is fitted with a 260-kW peak and 230-kW continuous power Voith electric motor. The battery system, which is provided by Impact Clean Power Technology is available in outputs of 236 kWh or 354 kWh providing a range of up to 305 km (195 miles) and 458 km (285) respectively, on a single charge. In terms of charging, the bus is fitted with dual-sided CCS2 DC charger, charging at up to 150 kW and optional roof-mounted charging rails for 300kW pantograph charging.
