Schmitz to install 2,500 telematics systems in TIP trailer fleet

Germany / Netherlands – Schmitz Cargobull AG, a semi-trailer manufacturer based in Horstmar, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has agreed with TIP Trailer Services of Amsterdam, Netherlands to retrofit 2,500 trailers with its telematics hardware by the end of 2025.

By installing Schmitz’s ‘TrailerConnect’ telematics in its trailer fleet, TIP hopes to increase the transparency, efficiency, and safety of its goods transport operations. Theo de Vries, Vice President Services and Insight at TIP, commented:
