France Renault Trucks SAS, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Saint-Priest, France, has announced it will build a demonstration truck for a government-funded project to test and evaluate technological innovations in energy efficiency, road safety, and driver wellbeing.

As part of the ‘DOLPHIN’ project1, Renault Trucks will deliver a battery electric demonstrator truck later this year, with production of the truck beginning this spring. The vehicle will be used to test its energy efficiency and aerodynamics, its ability to detect vulnerable road users through integrated ADAS technology, and the comfort and ergonomics of its interior fittings and cabin dashboard.
