Scania to deliver 231 buses to Tenerife, including 173 hybrids

Scania buses destined for Tenerife

Sweden / Spain – In November, Scania AB, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Södertälje, Sweden, received an order for 231 buses, including 173 hybrid electric buses, from Tenerife-based public transport provider Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife SAU (TITSA). 

The 231-strong order will be delivered to the Canary Islands in batches over the next two years. 135 units will be delivered in 2024 and the remainder will follow in 2025. The buses will be bodied by Carrocera Castrosua SA of Santiago de Compostela.
