Renault Trucks develops truck with automatic loading and unloading system

Automotic loading & unloading system installed in Renault truck

FranceRenault Trucks SAS, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Saint-Priest, France, has developed a rigid box body truck for carrying mobile containers which move on a carousel system installed inside the cargo space. 

The unique truck was specially built for freight transport company Jacky Perrenot Group, based in Saint-Donat-sur-l’Herbasse. It is an ‘E-Tech D Wide 26-tonne’ truck with a special body built by Frappa; the body contains a carousel system which was designed by French engineering services firm Actemium
