UK – The UK government has announced an award of GBP7m for the development of a hydrogen fuel station for heavy goods vehicles in the Tees Valley combined authority, following an award last year of GBP8m for the deployment of fuel stations and hydrogen-powered vehicles in the area.

The GBP7m funding announced on 17 January will go to Exolum Corporation SA, a multinational petroleum logistics company based in Madrid, Spain. Exolum is commissioned to build a publicly accessible green hydrogen fuel station near Middlesbrough, with initial capacity to serve 25 heavy goods vehicles.
